Update 12

We have  now finished creating our double page spread.

Magazine Double Page Spread

This is our final magazine double page spread. We belive this successfuly attracts the target audience much the same as the documentary did. We used colours our focus group said they preferred and incorporated this into the magazine. We also did this with fonts, images and general layout; as we wanted to make the magazine as appropriate as possible to the target audience. However we also feel the double page spread looks professional and therefore will attract audiences outside of our target audience. We have also highlghted key words and phrases in bright red writing this is to attract the reader to shocking or important information and also follows the conventions of real magazines. Also following conventions of real life magazines we have made important quotes large and wrapped the rest of the text around them. This gives the impression of being a very important statement which will draw the reader to the article so they can find out what the documentary is about. However following advice from our target audience we did also break some codes and conventions of double page spreads as we used several smaller images rather than one large image. This layout was suggested by the target audience as they feel having smaller images around the article make the double page spread look more professional and they will therefore be more interested in reading the article. We also added serval small details which follow the codes of magazine double page spread and make the magazine look professional; this includes page numbers, the name of the magazine and credits to writers and photographers. Overall we are very happy with our double page spread as it not only advertises the documentary (what it includes but also the quality of the documentary is reflected by the quality of the magazine) it also attracts both our target audience and general readers by using large text and bright colours. This means more people will be aware of the documentary resulting in more viewers.

For some personalities its going to be negative and may indeed induce some kind of violent outburst

Video games have had the large impact in the 21st century.
Over 1.3 billion people play video games and we spend over 3 billion hours playing them.
Some may argue that violent video games encourage young people to act aggressively.
Our documentary out of controller aims to study the effect that violent video games can have on the mental wellbeing on young people.

Radio trailer quotes from documentary

Voice over 3rd and 4th  clip
With the growing popularity of violent video games such as call of duty which has sold over 100          million copies young people have increasingly been exposed to graphic violence gore and profanity.
It has been long under debate that this can lead to negative effects on young people
    file 0074 audio voice over
the video game industry is now worth a staggering $81 billion with violent video games titles such GTA call of duty and mortal combat leading the sales
  file 0079
although there has been no direct scientific prove that violent video games can lead to a increase in aggressive behaviour of younger people there has to be no doubt that the  graphic content that teenagers and young people are exposed to cant be good.

Julie quote

Nick quote

Video games tend to hit the headlines normally when there has been a shooting in a american high school or some murder or something like that

Vox pop quotes
I think things are brought out by video games but i don't think it effects the person i just think they give them a platform to be who they want to be

sometimes they can if people aren't properly educated in them like if they don't know how to control there anger then it can be quite bad for them but i think if they are properly know how to manage it then it can be fine

if its going to disrupt children’s learning then that’s  going to have such a negative impact on there future
